Builder Pathway (Trade-Based)

The builder pathway begins with a carpentry apprenticeship, and individual Stroud Homes franchises have openings for trade apprentices from time to time. Upon completion of an apprenticeship and gaining some experience, the next goal for ambitious tradespeople is to become a Supervisor.

After experience as a Supervisor (minimum of 2 years), either at Stroud Homes or another builder company, and after completing advanced building qualifications,  a builder can then apply for a builder’s licence. A builder’s licence is an essential prerequisite for anyone wanting to own a Stroud Homes franchise.

Construction Management Pathway

This route focuses on the technical and back office aspects of construction project management and includes the critical roles of Contract Administrator and Estimator.

Candidates for these roles typically have an advanced building-related qualification in a relevant field such as Construction Management or Building Design. Prior experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or contract administration is often desirable but not essential. Stroud Homes provides on-the-job training so focusing on the specific systems and processes used within the business.

The Sales Pathway

A building company like Stroud Homes relies on an energetic sales force to ensure growth and customer happiness. This path is suitable for anyone who wants to start a career in sales or advance an already successful sales career.

At Stroud Homes, we do not require you to have previous experience as a Sales Consultant. We often find that people without experience in sales, and specifically new home sales, have fewer pre-conceived notions of how homes are sold. This ‘beginner’s mind’ perspective can often be beneficial in this sales field.
